My name is Caleb Lawson and I work for Sunrise Tours in St. Louis, MO as Operations Manager, Staff Photographer, and Tour Director. Along with our partner company, Country Travel Discoveries from Milwaukee, WI, we operate group tours to destinations all over the world. My expertise is U.S. National Parks, and in my job I plan and lead group tours to some of my favorite locations on the planet.
I've had the privilege of planning and leading tours to some of the most well known National Parks like Yosemite, Yellowstone, Glacier, Arches and Grand Canyon. I've also been able to take travelers to parks they may have never even heard of, like Channel Islands, Guadalupe Mountains, and Dry Tortugas. From the dry deserts of Death Valley to the lively marsh of the Everglades, these protected lands have been my passion and my calling and it is my great pleasure to share them with fellow travelers from all over.
As Staff Photographer for Sunrise, my photos of National Parks are often featured in our catalog and throughout our various marketing efforts. I've had multiple photos featured on the cover of Sunrise Tours catalogs, and I love sharing my photos with our travelers at the end of each tour. It's also been a privilege to have had photos featured by Outdoor Photographer Magazine, St. Louis regional publications, and numerous National Park social media accounts. In my photo albums, you'll find pictures I took while on tour with groups, on planning trips by myself, or on personal trips with my family.
My wife Lori is the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Maryville University in St. Louis, an NCAA Division II athletics program. She enjoyed a stellar playing career as a member of the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team, winning an Olympic Gold Medal (2008) and a World Cup Championship (2015). Together we have two daughters that have done their fair share of hiking and National Park traveling for their young ages.
In addition to photography and leading tours, I am occasionally asked to speak to groups about my passion, National Parks. I look forward to these opportunities to use my knowledge and experience to educate and inspire others to travel to these amazing places and join the advocacy effort for continued preservation.
